Team Dews was in action at the Confidence Cup this weekend! We brought two students making their competition debut. I’m very proud of how they performed but, most of all how they responded to challenges and adversity.

Last week Team Dews competed in the AAU Taekwondo Nationals. Out of 5 Olympic Sparring competitors we brought home two Olympic Sparring Medals: 🥇🥉. Out of 1 breaking competitor we brought home Two Breaking Medals: 🥈🥈.

It was a mixed bag of emotions from elation to disappointment to concern and extreme frustration (referee). But, some things are always constant regardless of the results; win, lose or place. Regardless of officials. What is constant is my love and care for my students and how they compete with heart always makes me proud. The other constant is that we will learn and grow stronger regardless of the results. In the words of one of my students, “On To the Next!”

We are proud of their business like approach and dominant performance. 5 athletes, only competing in Olympic style sparring, winning 90% of our matches.
