What an incredible morning with the Kindergarten students! Their African Market program was spectacular, from the songs in the meetinghouse to the gym-turned-gallery of art, and presentations on a variety of topics around African culture!

The International Folk Dance was a joyful event for our community, featuring dances from around the world, and the fun opportunity for students to teach their fancy footwork to their parents and siblings! Many thanks to Teacher Samantha for organizing and teaching students and faculty!

Thanks to our favorite string quartet for bringing their excellent program, "Listening In," to our students! We listened to music from around the world, including Japan (where our first grade students are currently "traveling") and the African continent (in honor of the Kindergarten's African market adventure). Students had the opportunity to hear a new composition by a quartet member, as well as to conduct, clap unique rhythms and meet the musicians.

From the WCFS archives, in honor of MLB's Opening Day: The first organized baseball game played in West Chester took place right here on the Quaker Lawn (the Meetinghouse and our school can be seen in the background)!
