We have a visitor today!

Today a heavy rain shower came just in time to interfere with our last lesson of the day. So, we changed our plans and had a fun unmounted lesson. After all of the horses were groomed, we played "Horse Kid Headbands"

It was fun having everyone come up with questions to figure out if they were one of the horses, tack, barn supplies, or other necessary items used for riding.

Today, I presented a few of our riders with a unique lesson... after they warmed up in the ring for a bit, I opened the gate and went to one of the fields, all a bit confused they followed. After they stood around asking me questions, for which I only answered with some facial and body language, they all eventually began to test their own level of comfort and used their imagination to literally horse around!!🥰🐎👏

It was interesting to see which each of them chose to do and encourage one another!!

Big congratulations to Angela and Eloise! Both finished on their dressage scores at Plantation Field this weekend! 👏👏👏

​Eloise showed great progress with Little Debbie, improving her dressage score from previous shows to finish on a 29.1—earning them a well-deserved 4th place.

​Angela tactfully managed Kannan through a dressage test where he was more concerned with Debbie than the task at hand! 🫣 They turned it around in jumping and cross country, maintaining focus to climb from 15th all the way to 7th.

Seeing a student realize their own potential is the best part of the job. We shook off the dust from a previous show weekend by tackling her highest jump to date. I kept raising the poles, and she kept proving me right every single time! Resilience looks good on this team! ✨🐴

We had a peaceful Monday easing back into the flow of a regular school and work routine after the Easter holiday and spring break.
