On Wednesday, July 22nd, Reading, PA School District Superintendent and ΑΦΑ/ΣΜΛ Bro Dr. Khalid Mumin recently joined education, transportation, energy, and government leaders at Zum's Student Mobility Summit at Nasdaq in Times Square, New York City, where he was featured on the building's iconic exterior display.
Leaders discussed how modernizing student transportation can improve access to education for the 26 million students who rely on school buses each day. Districts shared that more reliable transportation increased student ridership by 89% while significantly reducing transportation-related absences, highlighting the direct impact transportation has on student success.

Join us as U.S. Congressman and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Brother Al Green hosts the 2026 Slavery Remembrance Day program in Washington, D.C.
This annual observance honors the memory of those who endured the horrors of slavery while reaffirming our commitment to preserving their stories and ensuring that this history is never forgotten. Congressman Green will also provide a legislative update on the continued effort to establish a National Slavery Remembrance Day.
