That's a wrap on summer play dates.

Thank you to every family who came out, shared a snack, and let their kid make a brand new friend on the playground.

Now we're looking at September 3: orientation workshops. That's when you really get to know how the next year is going to go for your family!

Two things to bring:
🎒 Your school supplies (lists are by class: Twos, Threes, Pre-K AM, Pre-K PM)
✂️ Anything from the wish list, if you're able. Pom-poms, pipe cleaners, and the like. Pre-opened is just fine.

Not sure what's on your list? It's in our Aug 8 post, and we'll drop the link in the comments. Turn the shopping trip over to your kid and let them hunt the aisles for the glue sticks and picking a school bag!

🎒 Back-to-school shopping just got its best helper: your preschooler.

This year, make the supply run their mission. Hand your child the list, let them hunt the aisles for the glue sticks and the world's biggest box of tissues, and let them check off every find.

Swipe through for your class's list. Twos, Threes, Pre-K AM, and Pre-K PM each have their own. Everything comes with you to orientation on September 3rd.

One more stop before checkout: the wish list on the last slide. If your craft closet is overflowing with pom-poms and pipe cleaners, our teachers will happily turn them into something wonderful. Pre-opened is just fine.

Due to the heat and lack of shade at Francis RecreAcres, we will be cancelling the play date tomorrow.

By week two of summer break, every parent has Googled "free things for toddlers" at least once. We've got you. ☀️

Nine WCP playdates at nine local parks all summer long. Mix of morning meetups, afternoon hangs, and evening playdates that work for working parents. Open to current WCP families and anyone curious about our co-op.

Save the flyer, RSVP on our events page, and come hang. New faces always welcome. 💛

Today was our end-of-year picnic, and our preschoolers and families showed up ready to celebrate. They collected their certificates, posed with Mrs. Erin, Mrs. Lisa, and Mrs. Lexie one more time, and made their families completely fall apart in the best possible way.

To the Pre-K class heading off to kindergarten: you are SO ready. The world doesn't know what's coming.

To Threes coming back next year: we already can't wait.

To every WCP family who showed up today: thank you for making this such a beautiful close to the year.

Reminder, WCP families: the May Gathering is this Monday! This is a mandatory co-op meeting🧡

We'll meet the new board, vote on the 2026-2027 budget, and walk through everything you need for September.

A few notes:
🔸 Adults only. Just one parent per family is needed, but both are welcome.
🔸 Bring a way to pay (check, cash, or electronic) for September tuition + participation deposit.
🔸 Returning families in good standing: your $100 participation deposit carries over from 25/26.

A WCP tradition is for all the kids to get an end of year shirt decorated with their classmates and teachers names. They'll wear them to our last day picnic at Francis RecreAcres this Wednesday, May 13. Which means each one of them is walking in carrying their whole class with them. A year of friendships, written in puffy paint. 💛
