How’s your inner child doing today? I just had lunch with a close friend who explained an incredible time at a theme park with her young son. She allowed her inner child to fully express and enjoy every moment. It was amazing, exhilarating and healing all at the same time. I think we’d all be much better off if we did such things.

I love this old picture of me - the red pants, the hand on the hip, the other hand down in a pose. I look confident, sassy and free. I love it.

My mom is 78 years old and stopped working 6 months ago. From 1977-2025, she worked in Geriatrics, Hospice & Home Health. She helped countless people transition to the other side and comforted their families.

My perspective on my mom’s life has expanded over the last several years as I have learned about our family’s neurodiversity. I am blessed to see clearly now and appreciate the giftedness of our unique brains.

Mom lived a life of service through her own personal challenges and hardships and many were blessed.

Congratulations on a long and impactful career! Here’s to all the nurses!! We see you. We appreciate you. We thank you!

Take time to celebrate! As busy as we are and as stressful as life can be, pause long enough to express gratitude and celebrate all that’s happening FOR you and all YOU are creating! Think of this as an important life practice. Marking the moment, feeling the love, the joy, and celebrating life replenishes the soul! It’s powerful! Thank you for always showing up and coming alongside me no matter the challenge. You put love in action and I am incredibly grateful to have you as a sister in my life. We will mark every moment and celebrate every challenge along the way!

Same Narcissism, Different Masks

Narcissism doesn’t always look the same in everyone, and it often manifests differently in men and women.

Sometimes it shows up as control, dominance, and intimidation.
Other times it’s more subtle—guilt, comparison, and emotional manipulation.

Different styles… same core wounds underneath.

When you learn to recognize the pattern (not just the presentation), you stop blaming yourself, and start setting clearer boundaries.
