A NEW FLL SEASON IS GLOWING! 🤖💡

On Saturday, we welcomed parents, students, and coaches from all 9 Lakota Robotics FLL teams for our season kickoff!

This year’s theme is BioGlow: Engineering a Thriving Planet, challenging students to explore how science, technology, and engineering can help create a better future for our planet. 🌱🔬

We’re excited to have 5 Explore teams and 4 Challenge teams this season, including one brand-new Explore team joining us for the first time! 🎉

We can’t wait to see what these young innovators create. Let the season begin! 🚀💙💜

Our FRC program is about more than building robots. It’s about building future engineers. 🤖

Our students do the work. They design, build, program, problem-solve, and make the decisions. Along the way, they work side-by-side with professional engineers and experienced mentors who guide them, ask questions, share their expertise, and help students learn from every challenge.

It’s hands-on, real-world STEM experience where students aren’t just watching professionals work. They’re doing the work themselves.

That’s what STEM Without Barriers is all about. 💙💜

More Than Robots

A robot might be what brings students through our doors, but it’s rarely what they leave with.

They learn how to speak up when they have an idea.
How to listen when someone else has a better one.
How to take feedback without taking it personally.
How to keep going when something doesn’t work.
And how to trust a team enough to let someone else take the lead.

Those skills don’t disappear when competition season ends. They go with our students wherever they go next.

That’s the real power of robotics. 🤖

FRC students take what they learn in the classroom and put it to work. From CAD and mechanical design to programming, electronics, strategy, marketing, and more, students gain hands-on experience by working on real projects with real deadlines.

🤖 FRC students are already getting to work for the new FLL season!

From building new sawhorses to create a dedicated LEGO table workspace to designing materials for the FLL Kickoff, our students are helping prepare the next generation of STEM learners. 🔧🧱

It’s more than robotics. It’s leadership, teamwork, creativity, and building a stronger STEM community from the ground up!
