Meet another CARR instructor. We can’t wait to welcome our CARR 1 students in one week!
Dub-C Autism Program at WCU
The Dub-C Autism Program (D-CAP) at West Chester University, is a program for matriculated students with autism.
D-CAP is a program for:
-Meeting others with ASD
-Increasing social opportunities
-Discussing, asking, and better understanding college lifestyles and social interactions
-Increasing functional, independent adult living skills
-Prepare and enhance skills for career/professional lives
Training for our CARR instructors completed today. As a task, they were asked how they would explain our College Autism Readiness Retreat to others. Each instructor and staff member shared their explanation, with the goal of the task highlighting that not everyone will nor has to explain it the same way. All the explanations are valuable and correct. The best part, all presented in their own words highlighted with each person’s unique personality. 💜💛
