This week is going to be hard. There will be days when you’re exhausted. Days when your feet hurt, your body is tired, your brain feels completely overloaded, and you may even think, “I don’t know if I can do this.”
You may want to give up.
DON’T. YOU CAN DO THIS!!
Stand in those moments and remind yourself what you’re doing. You are learning. You are growing. You are becoming part of something bigger than yourself. You have joined a CHAMPIONSHIP MARCHING BAND. 🏆
And somewhere between the long rehearsals, the sweat, the mistakes, the laughs and the countless repetitions, something amazing is going to happen…
You’re going to make friendships that will last far beyond this season. ❤️💛

Help the new members. Encourage each other. Be the person someone else can look to when they’re struggling. Push yourself to become better than you were last season. Give this senior class, the best season of their lives!

Every single one of you…
Today was the beginning of so many lasts.
Your last first day of West Chester East Band Camp.
Your last season as a West Chester East Marching Band member.
You’ve poured SO much time, energy, sweat and heart into this program. We’ve watched you grow over the last four years, and for some of you lucky ones, FIVE YEARS since you started in 8th grade.
We’ve watched you become musicians, performers, leaders and young adults.
We see you. ❤️
And we hope you soak up every single moment this season. The good ones. The hard ones. The ridiculous ones. The exhausting ones. The moments you’ll laugh about years from now.
Because before you know it… they’ll be memories.
And to EVERYONE taking the field this season…
There will be moments this week that feel awful. There may even be moments that feel dark.
But remember…
There is a Journey Through Darkness. 🖤
And soon, you’re going to take that field and show everyone exactly what that journey looks like.
Your 2026 show is going to be the result of hundreds of hours of hard work, dedication, repetition and talent.
So take the field.
Own it.
Trust the process.
Lift each other up.
And show everyone EXACTLY what is possible when deducated talented students come together and put in the work.
Eat. 🍎
Hydrate. 💧
REST at night. 😴
Take care of yourselves.
