Tunes blaring, grills out and game-day chairs deployed! 😎

The West Freshman crew brought the ultimate weekend energy, rolling into the long weekend dressed in their finest "Soccer Moms & BBQ Dads" gear. ⚽️ 🍔 From lawn chairs to chef hats and aprons, the commitment was 10/10. This duo even led hallway dance parties at class change time to let students in on the fun! 🎶🎤

Whether your Labor Day plans will be spent on the sidelines, holding down the grill or just relaxing, have a fun, safe and restful weekend ! ☀️🕶️

We had the privilege of honoring our very own Saniya Taylor on the field during the West vs East football game; for becoming the 2026 Girls Track State Champion in the 400m!

This sign was presented to celebrate her monumental achievement, and it will be proudly hung in honor at Lakota West to inspire Firebirds for years to come. Huge congratulations to Saniya and Coach Brenton Eisenhard on a well-deserved honor!

Congratulations to these Nominees:

Lakota West Football: Lakota West poured on 27 points in the third quarter to get revenge on rival Lakota East, winning 48-18.

Kenyon Norman, Lakota West: The Northwestern commit led an explosive Lakota West offense in a 48-18 win over archrival Lakota East with career highs in rushing yards (262) and touchdowns (4). After a 72-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, Norman opened the second-half scoring with a 75-yard touchdown. He later ran for a 28-yard score late in the third quarter, shedding multiple tacklers on his way to the endzone.

Anne Marie Wambugu, Lakota West: The senior had two goals in a 3-2 win over Fairfield.

Elizabeth Brehm-Rayna Widmer, Lakota West: The sophomore and freshman are off to a 3-0 start in first doubles play with wins last week against Wyoming and Oak Hills.

Amara Fellows, Lakota West: The sophomore had 26 assists, two aces and two digs in a win over Little Miami, then had 16 assists and three digs in a win over Fairfield.
