Students in Emergent and Surgical Medicine rounded out their spring semester with poster presentations researching and discussing common (and not so common!) post operative complications that they may soon encounter on clinical rotations. Each group had the opportunity to peer review and provide feedback to their classmates work. Well done πͺπ₯

This week, didactic year students Andje, Morgan, and Karrine organized the first (of hopefully) many community outreach events engaging with K-12 students in our community in hopes of encouraging students to consider careers in medicine and especially the PA profession. Our hope is to increase diversity within our profession so that all of our future patients can relate to their provider which has been shown to improve patient outcomes and treatment compliance. Time was spent here with over 30 Coatesville HS juniors and seniors in their anatomy class. We thank the district for the opportunity!
