There's a song about the wheels on the bus going round and round, but at WC Elementary, the wheels are meant to be eaten! Students used their senses to describe the ingredients needed to build the bus, including graham crackers and frosting. Students also used counting skills to determine how many of each item they would need. What a sweet lesson!

We will continue to update you on any school schedule changes as we learn them. In the meantime, if you need to drive in the area today, use caution.

A big thank you to our firefighter and police friends, including our own SRO Officers, for greeting students this morning. The City of Moraine and the City of West Carrollton support our schools throughout the year, and we appreciate it!

The first days of school can be stressful for students, parents/guardians, and our staff. We are here to help you, and we appreciate your kindness and patience during this time.

If we don’t answer your call, we are speaking with another caller. Please leave a message with your name, phone number, and the reason for your call. We will call you back as soon as possible.

Bus stop pick-up and drop-off times may be delayed during the first days of school. Many of our students are riding the bus for the first time and are adjusting to a new routine. Our drivers want to make sure every child gets to and from school safely.

If you are transporting your child to/from school, allow yourself extra time. Traffic is usually congested around the schools during the first days as everyone adjusts to the traffic pattern and students adjust to the routine. Stay in the pick-up/drop-off lane, drive slowly, and watch for students.

We want every student to have a safe and positive experience, and we thank you for your help.

The Pirates are coming back to school, and we need your help! Please be patient when driving around schools. Traffic is usually congested during the first days as everyone adjusts to student drop-off and pick-up traffic patterns at the schools. Remember that the speed limit is 20 MPH in school zones. Watch for children when driving in your neighborhood as they walk to and from bus stops and schools. Always stop when red lights are flashing on a school bus. Thank you for helping the Pirates have a safe start to the school year!
