Hello! I am a tutor who is available to work with parents and students to facilitate learning in this COVID-19 environment. For six years, I worked as a long term substitute English teacher and permanent building substitute teacher in the Walled Lake Consolidated School District. I also have experience working in the corporate world as a communications and marketing professional.
I hold a BA from Michigan State University in Journalism. I also earned a Secondary Teaching Certificate (Grades 7-12, English major, History minor) from Eastern Michigan University.
I am open to working with students in a variety of situations: in person one-on-one, virtually or in small groups. I can assist with all areas of Language Arts including reading, writing/composition, literature, grammar and vocabulary. I am also open to helping with Social Studies and elementary Spanish.
