With the February 6 ACT® test date right around the corner, it's important to keep an eye on www.act.org for daily updates to the test center cancellation list. It seems like more test centers are planning on administering the test than back in December, but you still don't want to wake up on a Saturday morning for nothing in case your test center is closed.

Here are some good tips to make sure you don't get burned on February 6:

1.) Keep an eye on your emails. The ACT® will (or, at the very least, should) notify you via email if your test center gets cancelled or changed.

2.) Visit https://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/test-day/rescheduled-test-centers.html often and regularly. They update the rescheduled test centers every day and will be a good source of information.

3.) If you don't get a test center cancellation notice, make sure you check your test admission slip *the morning of *February 6*. We've had students have their test center changed at the last second without notification, but this will be the ultimate safety valve.

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us at [email protected] or call us at (248) 788-8867; we're always happy to talk things through!

While who vs. whom doesn't come up all that often on the ACT®, it's still a rule that students (and parents) should know if not for the test, but just in general!

The grammatical way is that 'who' will always be a subject that carries out an action, and 'whom' will always be an object in which an action is directed toward.

However, we at Mally A.C.T. are all about finding the easiest way possible to get a question right, and in this instance, forget the grammatical way.

'Whom' can be replaced with him, me, them, and her, and the way you can remember it is that him, me, and them all have Ms in them like whom.

It's all about figuring out how to get the right answer, and sometimes not why the right answer is right.

With the rise on COVID-19 cases across the country, some proctoring sites have cancelled the December 12th ACT® administration. While many are still slated to proctor that test, obviously that's subject to change.

Here's how to make sure you don't show up to a test center to find out that it was cancelled at the last second:

1.) Keep an eye on your emails. The ACT® will (or, at the very least, should) notify you via email if your test center gets cancelled or changed.

2.) Visit https://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/test-day/rescheduled-test-centers.html often and regularly. They update the rescheduled test centers every day and will be a good source of information.

3.) If you don't get a test center cancellation notice, make sure you check your test admission slip *the morning of December 12th*. We've had students have their test center changed at the last second without notification, but this will be the ultimate safety valve.
