Our hearts bleed…

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, former teacher, Carol. Her departure leaves a profound void in our hearts and in the very fabric of our musical community.

Carol was not just a teacher; she was a guiding light, a mentor, and a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Much like her laughter, her passion for music was infectious, and her dedication to her students knew no bounds.

Under Carol's guidance, countless students discovered the joy of music and unlocked their potential as musicians. She had a remarkable gift for nurturing talent and instilling confidence, always believing in her students even when they doubted themselves. Her patience, kindness, and encouragement created a safe and supportive environment where students could thrive and grow.

In honor of Carol's memory, let us carry forward her passion for music, her dedication to excellence, and her spirit of kindness and compassion. May we continue to share the gift of music with others, just as she shared it with us. Though she may be gone, her music will echo through the halls of our academy and the hearts of her students forever.

Rest in peace, Carol. Your spirit will live on in the notes we play, the
melodies we create, and the memories we cherish.

Update: Thanks to generous donors like yourself, eight year old Ryan has now completed three years of music lessons at Axis Music! He came to us instrument-less and has now leveled up from a ukulele to his very own guitar, all while learning a little piano along the way.

Since Ryan's last performance at the Detroit Zoo in 2019 (where he performed Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Old Town Road), he has been playing Carry That Weight by The Beatles on the guitar as well as composing his own melodies on the piano, while also learning to read the grand staff. Big thanks to his teacher Mr. Josh, who has been incredible in fostering Ryan's love of music.

Without our incredible donors, none of this would be possible for Ryan. Thank you all for continuing to make a difference in the lives of young musicians!

Today is ! All around the world people are donating to the causes that they support. We hope that Axis Music Foundation is that cause for you, as we'll be contributing to the lives of kids right here in Oakland county.

Our goal for 2020 is to sponsor at least six new children with the help from all of you. Sponsorship includes purchasing an instrument and providing private music lessons for underprivileged kids in our community. Unlike larger foundations, 100% of your donation will go directly to the cause, as we carry no overhead administrative costs due to our awesome team of volunteers.
