Founded in 1972, Lollipop Cooperative Preschool has been serving Walled Lake and the surrounding communities for over 35 years. Although Lollipop is located in the Orchard Lake Community Church building, we operate independently and are not affiliated with any religion. The preschool programs are planned and led by very caring and extremely dedicated teachers and former co-op parents. The school

is licensed by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. A cooperative preschool creates for parents a place to actively participate in their child's first school experience. Being owned and operated by member parents, it provides benefits to both parent and child alike. Parents work in the classroom alongside the teacher on a rotating basis and voluntarily fill the needs of the school. Lollipop, being a cooperative preschool, offers parents a unique opportunity to become partners with the teacher, other parents and children. Joining a community of parents that places high value on the involvement in the education and development of their children and the observation of your child in the school-social setting are invaluable benefits of a co-op experience.
