Our 6th grade science classes had a blast learning about coding and Ozobots today! 💻🤖

AMSTI 5–8 Science Specialist, Holly Adams, visited Mrs. McAfee’s classes to introduce our students to coding and help them explore the possibilities of Ozobots through hands-on learning. We loved seeing our students create, problem solve, collaborate, and have fun while learning!

Thank you for visiting Mrs. McAfee’s classes and providing our students with this engaging, hands-on experience today, Mrs. Adams!

Dress-up day information for our first football game day on next Monday is included below. All attire worn for any dress-up day we have must adhere to our district’s dress code policy.

We cannot wait to welcome our students back to school tomorrow!

To make morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up as smooth as possible for everyone, check out the campus map below for specific travel routes. At 7:40 each morning, our gate for access to the car rider line will be closed. After this time, please drop your students off in the front of the school. The gate will reopen around 2:40 each day. Car riders are released at 3:00.

Tomorrow, doors will open promptly at 3:30 for Open House!

Class schedules will be picked up from the grade level teachers on your child’s grade level hallway. If your child purchased a locker in May, their locker assignment will be stapled to their class schedule.

Didn’t purchase a locker in May? Stop by the cafeteria to purchase one! Lockers are $10 and may be purchased with cash or a check made payable to West Blocton Middle School.

WBMS spirit items will also be available for purchase. See the attached graphic for pricing and additional details.

Ms. Head will be in the office again this week to help with registration and enrollment.

It is important to us that your child’s registration is accurate and updated, because it helps us communicate with you, respond quickly in case of an emergency, and ensure we have the information needed to support your child(ren) throughout the school year.
