KMIP is comprised of members residing in several counties located in the heart of the Kettle Moraine area. "Kettle Moraine" refers to the topography of the Southeastern Wisconsin region. Millions of years ago, the glaciers moved over the area and left deposits of soils called moraines, and took away soil leaving kettles. Thus, our name reflects the unique land formations in our area.
