Our hearts are bursting with pride as we celebrate the graduation of our amazing Stingray Pre-K class! Watching these children grow in confidence, curiosity, kindness, and creativity throughout the year has been such a joy.

We are so proud of all they have accomplished and cannot wait to see the incredible things they will do as they begin their next adventure in kindergarten!

⭐️🐠 Congratulations to Our Starfish Class! 🐠⭐️

Today we celebrate our wonderful Starfish students as they move up to Pre-K! What an incredible year it has been watching these children grow in confidence, independence, friendships, and their love of learning.

We are so proud of all they have accomplished and the amazing progress they have made throughout the year. Their growth has truly been remarkable!

A special thank you to our Starfish families for your love, support, and partnership, and to Ms. Ro and Miss Angelina for their dedication, patience, and commitment to creating such a nurturing classroom environment.

🐚💙 Congratulations to Our Seahorse Class! 💙🐚

Recently, we celebrated our amazing Seahorse students and their Moving Up Ceremony! This year has been filled with growth, learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories. We have watched our Seahorses grow into confident, curious, and capable learners, and we couldn’t be prouder of all they’ve accomplished.

Thank you to our wonderful families for your support throughout the year, and to Miss Kelly, Mrs. B, and Miss Kristin for their dedication, patience, and love they bring to the classroom every day.

💙 Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today we celebrate all of the incredible fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and special role models in our students’ lives. Thank you for the love, guidance, support, and memories you help create each and every day.

We were so excited to welcome our families for a special Father’s Day Play Date in our outdoor learning space, where laughter, exploration, and quality time filled the day. From playing together to making new memories, it was a wonderful way to honor the amazing people who help our children learn, grow, and thrive.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the father figures who make such a meaningful impact in the lives of our Hazelton Prep children. We hope you enjoyed this special celebration as much as we did!

Last week, our students at Hazelton Prep had an amazing hands-on learning experience during a special visit from the incredible firefighters at West Babylon Fire Department!

The children loved exploring the fire trucks, learning about the equipment firefighters use, and listening to the firefighters share important safety tips and stories about helping our community.

A huge thank you to the West Babylon Fire Department for taking time out of your busy day to create such a fun, exciting, and educational experience for our students. We are so grateful for all that you do for our community ❤️

☀️✨ mini CAMP is almost here… and it’s going to be AMAZING! ✨☀️

As many early childhood programs wrap up in early June, we know families are looking for something special to bridge the gap before summer camp officially begins… and our mini CAMP is just that 🌿💛

These weeks are filled with the same magic, creativity, and hands-on learning your children love—while keeping them in a familiar, comforting routine. But we’re turning up the FUN as we step into summer!

💦 Splashing and laughing in our river run & sprinkler park
🐓 Caring for our beloved school chickens
🌱 Digging, planting, and exploring as we tend to our gardens
🎨 Creating, building, experimenting, and discovering through open-ended, Reggio-inspired experiences

Because at our school, play isn’t just fun—it’s powerful. Through play, children are developing critical thinking, problem-solving, language, collaboration, and confidence. It is one of the most valuable tools for both academic and social growth, and we intentionally design our days to honor and protect it 💛

The weather has been simply beautiful! ☀️Our outdoor learning spaces have come alive with movement, creativity, and discovery. Children are climbing, building, digging, balancing, and exploring—fully immersed in the joy of being outside.

Our wonderful chickens have quickly become such a special part of our days. The children have been so invested in caring for them—gently feeding, observing, and checking in with such intention and responsibility. These everyday moments are filled with empathy, connection, and real-life learning.

Through this kind of play and care, we see the development of both gross motor skills—running, climbing, balancing—and fine motor skills—collecting, sorting, and working with small, delicate materials. But even more, we see collaboration, curiosity, and a deep sense of ownership over their environment.

And we can feel the excitement building… 🌱
With warmer days ahead, we’re looking forward to bringing our gardens to life—planting, growing, and continuing to learn together in the most hands-on, meaningful ways.

Our outdoor space is more than a playground—it’s a living, evolving classroom.

Snow Day Update ❄️

Due to the state of emergency and the aftermath of the blizzard, Hazelton Prep will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Crews are working extensively to make roads safe, and travel conditions remain challenging. Out of an abundance of caution, we believe it is best for our families and staff to remain home while cleanup efforts continue.

We appreciate your understanding and hope everyone stays safe and cozy during this time.
