Happy 🌎 day from the Growing Wild team!! Everyday is Earth day for our little school! We continue teaching our future kiddos how to form connections with nature, protect nature, and build resilience! It is our job to pass this on and to show these kiddos just how amazing our planet is! 💜🌎🌻🌊🌱

Our Growing Wild kiddos are loving spring so far!! HUGE shoutout to for coming out every Thursday to garden with us and for connecting us with who brought out baby chicks for us to hold and learn all about!
We love meeting community partners and being able to use hands on curriculum to teach our kiddos!! 🌻🐥🫜

Snow days = the best kind of school days! ❄️✨

From building giant snowballs and learning the art of cooperation, to turning the construction zone into a cozy “kitty TV” lounge, it’s been a week of pure magic. We even did a little tracking with some fresh animal prints! 🐾

Watching these little ones navigate, create, and communicate in the cold has warmed our hearts. 🤍

At Growing Wild, the kids have been super excited about ice on campus! ❄

We have been making ice sculptures with treasures hidden inside ~ figurines, chalk, and nature finds. We come back the next day to see - is it frozen?? If YES, we try to melt or destroy the ice to get to the items back!!

We have been enjoying the different textures when the water is at different levels of frozen, and the slushie texture has been particularly engaging for us to mix and to add other ingredients. We use salt, smashing sticks, spoons, and rocks 🪨 to get into the ice, making for a VERY exciting expansion on our regular mud kitchen creations 😄

Wow!! We are feeling SO much gratitude!!! First, a HUGE thank you to and her family for donating this beautiful tent to our school!! This is going to be such a game changer for us this winter! We are so grateful! This will help keep our school open and running on those extreme cold days!
Shoutout to the amazing families who helped build the platform, set up the tent, and instal the stove!
We could not do it without all of you!!

We have some hard working kiddos at Growing Wild!! 🌲🍂🍁🪱🍎
We have been busy:
collecting nuts and seeds, investigating where they came from and what they will grow into!
Mashing nuts and chalk to make mud kitchen creations! Raking leaves
Mashing old apples to help our decomposer friends and learning all about compost!
Oh and lots of cooking over the fire!!
So yeah, we’re kind of busy learning and having so much fun!
