We are excited to welcome Dan Terrio as the new Area Extension Director for Extension Milwaukee County. With nearly three decades of experience in leadership, education, and community engagement, Dan brings a passion for helping people and organizations thrive. Most recently, he served as Milwaukee County's Director of Organizational Learning and Culture, leading efforts to strengthen workplace culture and belonging, and expand learning and development opportunities. An award-winning, TED-certified public speaker and trainer, Dan has dedicated his career to inspiring growth, lifelong learning, and positive change.
Born and raised in Shawano County and a member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Community Band of Mohican Indians, Dan has deep roots in Extension. As a former 4-H member and longtime advocate for youth development, he understands firsthand the impact Extension can have on communities.

Dan is honored to join the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension and looks forward to partnering with colleagues and residents throughout Milwaukee County to create lasting impact. Please join us in giving Dan a warm welcome!

Victory Garden Initiative and the VGI 4-H Club are hosting the 2nd Annual Berry Blast event for families! At the event, we will hunt through the garden for ripe berries that include mulberries, raspberries, currants, and cherries. I heard rumors of a possible strawberry patch, as well🫢.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for a successful professional development event for the RISE - Regional Internships in Science & Engineering program with Prism Technical.

Extension Educators Tahnee Aguirre and Prasanta Anumolu, led engaging discussions on career readiness, internship opportunities, job-search strategies, and financial wellness. Their valuable insights provided students with practical tools and resources to help them navigate their academic and professional journeys with confidence.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District - MMSD for hosting this impactful event and supporting the growth and development of our future workforce.

Together, through collaboration and mentorship, we are helping students build skills, explore opportunities, and prepare for successful careers.
