✂️ Help Us Support WAWM Recreation’s 6th Annual Cuts for Kids! 🎒

Every August, the WAWM Recreation Department helps local district students head back to school feeling confident and ready for a great year by providing free haircuts and a meal. Last year, they gave more than 225 haircuts in one day!

The WAWM PTA Council is proud to help spread the word and rally our community to support this wonderful program. ❤️

💈 Do you know a barber or stylist who would be willing to volunteer their time? More volunteers mean more students can receive the confidence boost that comes with a fresh haircut before heading back to school!

🎒 Backpack and school supply donations are also needed to help ensure local students have the supplies they need to start the school year ready to learn.

Please consider volunteering, donating, or sharing this post with someone who may be able to help. Together, we can help make sure our students and families have a strong start to the school year!

Don't forget - West Allis Night Out returns next week Monday, July 27 from 5-9 p.m. at the West Allis Farmers Market at 6501 W. National Ave. It'll be fun for the whole family with police and fire department demonstrations (hose challenge, bomb squad, SWAT, K-9, MRAP, D.A.R.E officer, squad cars, police horses, victim advocate), food trucks, crafts, local vendors, kids' activities, a bike helmet giveaway, inflatables, face painting, and more!
