Whoa! 171 PUBLIC schools received less per pupil a voucher payment ($12,731 for a students in grades 9-12) for the 2024-25 school year?!? How is the acceptable?
And the estimated voucher payment for grades 9-12 next year will be $13,799 (https://dpi.wi.gov/parental-education-options/choice-programs/payment-amounts-frequently-asked-questions)
We've seen a lot of claims that private voucher schools outperform public schools with less funding, but in reality, the taxpayer-funded voucher payment for high school students ($12,731 in 2024–25) exceeds the per-pupil revenue limit in 171 Wisconsin public school districts.

💚🧠 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠💚
This weekend the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District is partnering with the Southwest Suburban Health Department to bring you a FREE Mental Health and Community resources fair. The event served as a great reminder that May is mental health month and mental health matters. We want to help support, share resources, and provide connection that are important for everyone.

The best way to show your appreciation for a teacher is to let them know directly - personally - that they are appreciated.
Send an email or a short handwritten note to your child's teacher (and if you REALLY want to give them a shout out, CC their principal too!), OR contact a teacher from your past and let them know how they impacted you.
