MATC community, It is with heavy heart that I share the news that Betzaida "Betsy" Silva passed away on Friday, March 20th, after a courageous battle with cancer. Betsy was a long-time faculty member in the Nutrition and Dietetic Technician program, and retired in the summer of 2025 to focus on her health.

She was a joy to be around and a positive presence for both students and those in the community she worked with.

Per Betsy's wishes, no obituary will be published.
