Growing Together. Learning Together. Serving Our Students Better.
Our Adult Education staff and instructors enjoyed a meaningful day of learning and professional development. We began by attending Co-Lin’s Fall Convocation, where we heard an inspiring presentation from Dr. Damien J. Thomas, Clinical Director, Professor, and Licensed Professional Counselor. We then gathered for our Adult Education departmental meeting to continue strengthening our knowledge and commitment to student success.
We were honored to hear from Brittany Thompson, Center Administrator for Region 8, who provided valuable training on recognizing the warning signs of a mental health crisis and how to respond appropriately when someone may be in need of help.
At Co-Lin Adult Education, we know that our students are so much more than a test score or a classroom seat. They come to us carrying different experiences, challenges, dreams, and goals. That’s why we believe it’s important for our team to continually learn, grow, and prepare ourselves to support our students in all aspects of their journey.
Because sometimes, helping a student means helping them with more than academics.
It means listening.
It means noticing.
It means caring.
It means knowing when and how to connect someone with help.
You matter here. You are seen. You are valued. You belong at Co-Lin Adult Education. đź’™
We are proud of a team that continues to learn so that we can better serve the students who walk through our doors.
