North Tampa Christian Explorers

Our Twos Class learned all about shapes in a few different ways, like forming them with their arms, coloring them in and sorting them by color. 🔺🔴 🟥 ♦️

Looking at the same concept from different angles makes it more relatable and helps with association.

Our Threes class recently did a Tree Study. 🌳

Explorers labeled parts of a tree, made their own nests using grass and items they found on the playground, and created their own trees using a black card layout.

The Twos class learned that we can find seashells in the ocean!

For our Sensorial Montessori activity, we practiced scrubbing shells, a fun activity that strengthens fine motor skills as students explore different textures and shapes.

VPK2 recently studied types of weather and discussed their characteristics. Explorers then journaled about their favorite type of weather. ☀️🌧️🍃

Our VPK2 class recently practiced CVC words, which are three-letter, one syllable words following a consonant-vowel-consanant setting and featuring a short vowel sound, such as dog, cat and sun. ✍️

For this lesson, Explorers focused on sounding out and blending beginning, middle and ending sounds. This helped them build their reading and phonics skills through engaging word activities.

Learning can be a little messy sometimes in our Explorers classrooms. ☺️
