Summer School classes have been cancelled for the rest of this week. ACE program has also been cancelled for the rest of this week. Summer school classes and ACE will resume on June 24th.

Weslaco HS sophomore Andrea Ortiz was named the University Interscholastic League MVP after hitting a towering grand slam homerun over the left field wall to give the Lady Panthers its first-ever UIL State 6A Softball title! (HSSMImages)

Sam Houston is honored to represent and pilot the ESport program for WESLACO ISD. To end the 2023-2024 school year, Mr. Chavez and Mr. Castillo collaborated with Edinburg CISD’s Eisenhower Elementary to hold what will become an annual event and possible district competition among other Weslaco schools. Everything was made possible with further collaboration with all areas of our Weslaco ISD departments: Energy Management, Technology, and KWES department. 🎮🤩

End of the year parent volunteer luncheon… thank you Mrs. Almazan and parents for all that you do for the staff and students of Sam Houston Elementary!

Our Sam Houston ACE Flag Football Team competed at WISD’s inaugural ACE Flag Football Tournament this past Saturday, May 18th 🏈

We are so proud of our students for their hard work and dedication these past weeks with practices and during the games at the tournament. They showed positive mindsets and great sportsmanship
