Weslaco High School Choir

UTRGV's Dr. Sean Taylor taught an awesome workshop for our WHS Choir on Friday.

Our WHS Choir just made history with the most UIL Solo & Ensemble State Qualifiers and Gold medals overall in more than a decade!!! 18 students attended UIL Solo & Ensemble and 18 students were awarded Gold medals, and 12 of those Gold medals qualify to go to Texas State Solo & Ensemble in May! We are over the moon proud!! Keep up the amazing work Panther Choir!

We are over the moon proud of our Maddie!!! She qualified to advance to the final round of TMEA auditions for the Texas All-State Choir! The TMEA Area audition will take place on January 10th, 2026. Help us in sending her good, positive, and encouraging vibes!!

The WISD Choral Department is excited to present the 3rd Annual Patriotic Choral Festival! Students from our elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools join voices to honor our Veterans' selfless service. If you are a Veteran, or if you know a Veteran, please invite them to the concert. There is no entry fee for our Veterans! We hope to see you there!

A huge congratulations goes out to all the Weslaco High School Choir students who made it all the way to this weekend's Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest! Out of the 7 students who participated, 4 received medals, 2 silver and 2 gold. We are extremely proud of your accomplishments and look forward to see you all continue to flourish into well rounded musicians! Keep singing Panthers!!!
