Tonight, we celebrate an incredible group of seniors as they walk across the stage and begin the next chapter of their lives. Your dedication, passion, leadership, and countless hours of hard work have left a lasting impact on the Weslaco Panther Corps.
From early morning rehearsals and football games to competitions, concerts, and unforgettable memories, you have helped shape the legacy of our program. We are proud of everything you have accomplished and excited to see all that you will achieve in the future.
As you receive your diplomas tonight, remember that you will always be a part of the Panther Corps family. Thank you for your commitment, your talent, and the memories you've given us.

🎓✨🎶Senior Spotlight🎶✨🎓
A huge congratulations to Weslaco High School Senior, Mario Vallejo! Mario’s journey as a Panther has been defined by an incredible commitment to musical excellence and academic distinction. A dedicated leader, Mario is a 4 year member of the Weslaco Panther Corps and served as a Section Leader for the WHS Panther Corps for three years. He has been a vital member of the WHS Mariachi Pantera, qualifying for UIL State two years in a row. His musical resume is nothing short of elite, having accomplished four years in the All-Region Band, All-Region Jazz Band, and State Solo & Ensemble, along with two-year stints as an Area Band Qualifier and All-Star Jazz Band member. Beyond the band hall, Mario spent four years with Mid Valley Piano Studios, played two years of WHS Soccer, and served his community through the National Honor Society. Mario’s hard work in the classroom has earned him the prestigious titles of Honor Graduate and Summa Cum Laude. Mario plans to earn a Biology degree at Texas State University and continue his education at the Rosenberg School of Optometry at University of the Incarnate Word. We are so proud of all you have accomplished, Mario; the future is so bright!🎺

🥁Last Thursday evening, the Sepulveda Gym came alive with incredible performances as the percussion students of the Weslaco Panther Corps, Central Middle School, and B. Garza Middle School showcased their talent, dedication, and passion for music at the WPC inaugural percussion concert, Escaping A Nightmare.
From beginning to end, the concert featured a variety of ensembles that highlighted the hard work and growth of our percussion program at every level. The performances were both entertaining and inspiring, demonstrating the skill, musicianship, and commitment of our students.
A special thank you to Percussion Directors Alfredo Noriega and Jason Rodriguez for their vision, leadership, and countless hours of preparation that made this memorable event possible. Your dedication continues to create meaningful opportunities for our students to excel and share their talents with the community.
Congratulations to all of the performers on an amazing show and a successful first percussion concert. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you!🎶

Today we proudly recognize Alexa Ortegon! She has been a dedicated member of the Weslaco Panther Corps for all four years of high school, contributing her talents in the Percussion Section, Drumline, and Bass Line. Her commitment to excellence extends far beyond the band hall. Throughout her high school career, Alexa has been a standout student-athlete, competing in Varsity Water Polo for two years, where she served as Team Captain, and Varsity Swimming for four years, also serving as Team Captain. She has also been an active member of the National Honor Society for three years and the National Hispanic Institute for four years, demonstrating her dedication to leadership, service, and academic achievement. This fall, Alexa will attend The University of Texas at Austin, where she plans to study History and Government. Alexa, thank you for your hard work, leadership, and dedication to the Panther Corps. We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and look forward to seeing the impact you will make in the future. Congratulations, and best of luck on your next chapter!🧡
