Student pilots are required to complete at least 3 hours of night flight training, including a night cross country flight and 10 takeoffs and 10 landings at night.

At South Texas Aviation Academy, a Discovery Flight is a 30 minute introductory flight where you will fly with one of our trusted CFIs and experience what real flight training is like. You will even get hands on time at the controls.

After the flight, you will sit down with your instructor to talk about the training process, timelines, and what it takes to earn your pilot license.
