There’s a lot happening this month at Dr. R. E. Margo Elementary! Be sure to save our September 2026 Calendar so you don’t miss any of our important dates, celebrations, fundraisers, assessments, and school events.

At Dr. R. E. Margo Elementary, the safety and well-being of our students and staff is always our top priority. Throughout the school year, we will conduct a variety of safety drills to help our students and staff practice how to respond calmly and safely during an emergency.
Our drills will include:

🔥 Fire Drills
🏫 Hold Drills
🔒 Secure Drills
🚨 Lockdown Drills
🌧️ Shelter Drills

We completed our first fire drill of the school year last week, and we appreciate the cooperation of our students, staff, and families as we continue to strengthen our safety procedures.

These drills are an important part of creating a safe and prepared campus. Please take a moment to review the Family Safety Drill Notice below so you are informed about the types of drills your child may participate in throughout the year.

En la Escuela Primaria Dr. R. E. Margo, la seguridad y el bienestar de nuestros estudiantes y personal son siempre nuestra máxima prioridad. Durante el año escolar, llevaremos a cabo diferentes simulacros de seguridad para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes y personal a practicar cómo responder de manera tranquila y segura durante una emergencia.
Nuestros simulacros incluirán:

🔥 Simulacros de incendio
🏫 Simulacros de “Hold” (permanecer en el salón)
🔒 Simulacros de “Secure” (asegurar el plantel)
🚨 Simulacros de cierre de emergencia (Lockdown)
🌧️ Simulacros de refugio (Shelter)

La semana pasada realizamos nuestro primer simulacro de incendio del año escolar, y agradecemos la cooperación de nuestros estudiantes, personal y familias mientras continuamos fortaleciendo nuestros procedimientos de seguridad.

Estos simulacros son una parte importante para mantener un plantel seguro y preparado. Por favor, tómese un momento para revisar el Aviso Familiar sobre los Simulacros de Seguridad que aparece a continuación para mantenerse informado sobre los diferentes tipos de simulacros en los que su hijo(a) podría participar durante el año escolar.

What an amazing season for Uriel, Giovanni & Azael! ❤️🖤

These boys went UNDEFEATED all season with the Boys & Girls Club White Sox and capped it off with a CHAMPIONSHIP WIN on Tuesday! 🏆⚾️

So proud of their hard work, dedication, teamwork, and determination! 💪👏 They gave it their all every game and finished the season on top!
