📢 STAAR Scores Are Now Available! 📢

Silva Elementary parents, your child's 2026 STAAR results are now available through the Texas Assessment Family Portal.

You can access your child's scores by:

✅ Visiting https://www.wisd.us/parentsstudents

✅ Logging in with your HAC account (the same account used to view grades, report cards, attendance, and annual registration)
✅ Clicking on Grades (Home Access Center)
✅ Selecting Texas Test Scores

The Texas Assessment Family Portal provides much more than a score! Families can view:

⭐ Your child's performance level (Did Not Meet, Approaches, Meets, or Masters Grade Level)
⭐ Scale scores and statewide comparisons
⭐ Performance by reporting category/skill area
⭐ Reading Lexile® measures and Math Quantile® measures to help identify books and learning activities at the appropriate level
⭐ Personalized resources and activities to support learning at home
⭐ Specific information about areas of strength and areas that may need additional support

Summer is a great time to review these results with your child. The report includes tailored suggestions and learning activities that can help keep skills sharp and prepare students for success in the upcoming school year.

Storytime was a huge success! 🎉📚

We loved seeing our Silva scholars at the Mayor Joe V. Sanchez Public Library of Weslaco today for a fun Storytime and activity session. Thanks to the amazing generosity of First Book and dd's DISCOUNTS, every child went home with a brand-new book to add to their home library! 🥰

Don't forget: reading at least 20 minutes a day is the absolute best way to keep your brain sharp all summer long. Happy reading, Silva families! ☀️
