🌟 Healthy Habits, Healthy Kids, Silva Families! 🌟

Every day counts! Coming to school every single day gives our students the best opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve a brighter future. 📚🎓

Alongside regular attendance, building strong wellness habits at home helps keep our entire Silva Elementary community safe and thriving. Please take a moment to talk with your children about these important daily practices:

▪️Cover Your Coughs & Sneezes: Teach kids to use a tissue or their elbow to stop germs from spreading.

▪️Wash Hands Often: Remind them to wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

▪️Use Hand Sanitizer: Encourage sanitizing throughout the day when handwashing isn't available.

Small actions make a huge difference. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students healthy, in class, and ready to learn! 💜🐾

As we get ready for another great week at Silva, ask your child about their academic SMART goal and their plan to reach it.

Try asking:
🎯 What is your goal?
💭 Why is this goal important to you?
📝 What is your plan to reach it?
🤝 What support do you need from your teacher or family?
🌟 How will reaching this goal help you with your bigger goals in life?

These conversations may only take a few minutes, but they can make a BIG difference. When students understand what they are working toward, why it matters, and the steps they need to take, they begin to take ownership of their learning.

At Silva, we are on a mission! 🎯 And reaching our goals will take all of us—students, teachers, and families—working together and supporting one another.

The T-Mobile Project 10Million program is back for another school year to provide our amazing WISD students with FREE internet access via a T-Mobile hotspot! 📱✨

To apply, you will need the attached WISD form as backup, which confirms student eligibility through WISD's National School Lunch Program (NSLP).

You can apply online by visiting the Project 10Million website: https://www.t-mobile.com/brand/project-10-million

Many of our WISD students took advantage of this incredible opportunity last year, and families typically received their free device within just 10 days of applying! 📦💨

Please make sure your **pickup tag with your child’s name and grade in bold print** is clearly displayed in your car window each day. This makes a HUGE difference in helping us get you—and everyone else—through the pickup line faster! 🚗💨

It’s Friday, and Nathan is ready to celebrate! 🥳 Our Pre-K students rocked their first week back, and we couldn't be more proud of the successful week we've had across the whole campus. We hope everyone has a relaxing and restful weekend. Go Silva! 💜✨
