ALL Weslaco ISD Summer School & Summer Recreation programs will be canceled on Tuesday, June 16th due to forecasted torrential rain and flooding. This closure will also include ALL staff.

Due to inclement weather, ALL Summer School programs and Athletic Summer Recreation are canceled for today, Monday, June 15th.

Weslaco East High School is excited to welcome back our GEAR UP Coordinator, Ms. Janet Martinez, along with the UTRGV GEAR UP: College Bound, Career Linked program! 🐾🎓

This year, Ms. Martinez will be working closely with our incoming freshmen, the WEHS Class of 2030! She will be providing essential guidance, support, and resources to help our students successfully navigate their high school journey and prepare for bright college and career opportunities. ✨

The best part? Ms. Martinez has been assisting this amazing group of students since they were in the 7th grade, and she will continue to guide them all the way through their first year of college! 📚🏫

Attention Students: If you are not enrolled in Summer School, we have review packets available in the front office to help prepare you for your STAAR E-O-C Retest. Stop by and pick one up today!

Students: If you need another opportunity to take the STAAR E-O-C exam this summer, here is our testing schedule. Passing these exams is a graduation requirement of the State of Texas.

🐾 The Future of Weslaco East High School Begins Here! 🐾

Today, WEHS Athletic Coordinator Carlos Cuellar hosted a special luncheon for the principals of our 5 elementary and 2 middle school feeder campuses!

The goal of this wonderful get-together was to network, build strong community connections, and promote Weslaco East pride and culture starting right at the foundation. Each principal was gifted a banner to prominently display on their campus, so that their students would know the pathway to high school success begins at these campuses and culminates with graduation from Weslaco East High School!

We love seeing our future Wildcats grow!
