Our 7th & 8th Grade Lady Wildcats Softball Teams hit the field for their FIRST game of the season today! 🖤🤍

Our girls came ready to PLAY! They took what they’ve been working on in practice and put it into action—strong defense, great hits, teamwork, and lots of FUN! 💪🥎

We are so proud of the effort and energy our Lady Wildcats brought to the field. This is just the beginning, and we’re looking forward to an AMAZING season!

Tone & Mood in Action!

Today, 6th graders in Mrs. Garcia’s ELA class dove into a book titled “The Mighty Miss Malone” to explore how authors create tone and mood through word choice and details. Working with partners, students identified the tone and mood of selected passages, found text evidence, and discussed how the evidence supported their thinking.

It was awesome to see them collaborate, explain their reasoning, and bring the text to life through meaningful conversations! 💬📝🖤🐾🩶

🌊✏️ We Survived Summer Vacation!

To prove it, the Lunch Bunch got creative during recess and made adorable ocean animal pencil toppers! 🐬🦀🐳

Now that summer is officially behind us, our students are taking on the challenges of the 1st Six Weeks with creativity, friendship, and plenty of school spirit! 🖤🩶🐾

Is it mixed or is it dissolved? 🤔 That was the big question in Ms. Martinez’s and Mrs. Davis’s 6th gr Science lab today! Students created homogeneous mixtures (flavor powder + water = completely combined) and heterogeneous mixtures (pretzels, animal crackers, M&Ms, and marshmallows = every bite is different!). The best part? Getting to eat the results! 😋
