VALOR 40-HOUR INTERMEDIATE CRIME SCENE COURSE COMPLETED! 🚔🔎

Congratulations to the law enforcement officers who successfully completed an intensive 40 hours of Crime Scene Investigation training.

Throughout the week, students received instruction in:

📍 Securing and protecting the crime scene
🎬 Lessons learned from real crime scenes, court decisions, cold cases, current state and federal laws.
🎥 Crime scene videotaping
📸 Crime scene photography
📐 Crime scene sketching
🔍 Evidence identification and collection
📦 Proper evidence preservation
📝 Documentation, use of search warrants, warrantless searches, and use of field notes
⛓️ Maintaining evidence integrity and chain of custody

The course concluded with a mock crime scene practical exercise, where students had to apply everything they learned throughout the week—from the initial response and scene security to documenting, processing, collecting, and preserving evidence.

The classroom builds the knowledge. The scenario tests the application.

Outstanding work by all the officers, investigators, and supervisors who completed the course and strengthened their ability to conduct professional, thorough, and defensible crime scene investigations.
