Custom learning plans and individual excellence for ages 2½ - 18. We are part of a grassroots educational movement to put the student at the root of his own learning where growth happens organically. Good Morning! 💙💚

We love that our guides don’t just teach alongside our learners, they play, laugh, connect, and build relationships with them every day. The smiles, conversations, silly moments, and shared joy happen daily.

Today, we’re sending extra love, encouragement, and positive thoughts to our amazing Ms. Larenda as she takes on this week’s treatment. Her strength, kindness, and silliness continue to inspire all of us, and we are cheering her on every step of the way. 💗

Good Morning, BE, and remember: sometimes the greatest gift we can give one another is simply showing up with laughter and silliness.

Good Morning!

Sometimes friendship looks like making room for one more…even when there doesn’t seem to be any room left. 😊

These learners found a tiny space and turned it into a moment full of laughter, connection, and belonging.

Good Morning, BE!
And remember: Some of the best memories are made in the simplest moments… especially when everyone somehow fits. 💙💚😉

Good Morning! ☀️

It’s Smile Saturday, and if this photo doesn’t capture the spirit of BE and make you smile, we’re not sure what does.

A guide and a learner, sitting together, working side by side. Both focused on their learning. Yes, one is wearing what appears to be a medieval helmet made from a bucket.

No questions asked. No judgments. Just another day at BE. 😄

One of the things we love most about our community is that learning and belonging go hand in hand. When learners know they are accepted for who they are, they feel safe to take risks, share ideas, ask questions, and occasionally wear unconventional headgear.

The laughter, the relationships, and the moments that make us stop and smile are just as important as the lessons themselves. They remind us that education is ultimately about people.

Good Morning, BE, and remember:
the people who make us smile are often the same people who remind us that it’s okay to be ourselves. 💙💚

Good Morning! 💙💚

What if today’s most important task wasn’t on a checklist?

This little sign might have it right:
🌱 Feel the grass beneath your feet.
☀️ Pause for a moment.
😂 Laugh a little louder.
🍦 Enjoy a simple treat.
💛 Remember that life is meant to be experienced, not just managed.

Good Morning, BE!
And remember: the grass isn’t just something to walk across…it’s an invitation to stop, play, and enjoy the moment. 🌿💙💚

Good Morning! 💙💚

The AD learners volunteer with Wentzville United Methodist Church Food Drive each month where they help unload, sort, organize, and distribute food to members of the community. From carrying boxes and setting up stations to helping families load their vehicles, they experienced firsthand what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves.

We often talk about our mission to BE Better…better learners, better leaders, better friends, and better community members. Part of being better is leaving our communities and the spaces we share better than we found them. It’s about building empathy, teamwork, responsibility, and understanding that even small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact. These experiences help us see that our actions matter and that strong communities are built when people choose to care for one another.

Good Morning, BE!
And remember: BE Better isn’t just something we say, it’s something we do. 💙💚

Good Morning! ☀️🏐

Summer has a funny way of reminding us what being a kid is all about.

Bare feet in the sand. Friendly competition. High fives. Laughing when you miss the ball and celebrating when you somehow make an impossible play.

A group of our high schoolers joined a summer volleyball league, and spending time together, making memories, and having fun!

Sometimes the best summer adventures aren’t big trips or elaborate plans. They’re simply evenings spent with good friends under a big sky.

Good Morning, BE, and remember: sometimes the best summer memories start with sandy feet and good friends.

Good Morning, BE! 💙💚

Every Monday, Penny Pickles joins us on campus as one of our special four-legged helpers. Whether she’s encouraging a hesitant learner, offering comfort during a tough moment, or simply bringing smiles wherever she goes, Penny reminds us that support comes in many forms.

Animals have a special way of helping us slow down, regulate, build confidence, and feel seen. Sometimes the best thing for a learner is a friend who listens without saying a word.

We’re grateful for the joy, calm, and companionship Penny Pickles brings to our community each week.

Good Morning, BE!
Have a wonderful day, and remember: sometimes the most important lessons come from simply walking beside someone who cares.

Good Morning! 💙💚

A big misconception is that being regulated means being calm.

But regulation isn’t about being quiet, still, or sitting perfectly. Regulation is when our energy matches what the moment requires.

A learner laughing, running, exploring, building, questioning, creating, and collaborating may be highly regulated if those behaviors fit the task at hand. Likewise, a learner may appear calm on the outside while struggling internally to meet the demands of the moment.

We want to recognize that every learner’s nervous system is unique. Sometimes supporting regulation means movement. Sometimes it means rest. Sometimes it means connection, challenge, creativity, or simply having a need met before learning can begin.

When we shift our focus from controlling behavior to understanding needs, we create environments where learners can thrive.

Good Morning, BE!
And remember: regulation isn’t about being still, it’s about having what you need to do what comes next. 💙💚

Good Morning! 💙💚

One of the greatest lessons science teaches us is that not knowing is often the best place to begin.

In Upper Elementary Physical Science, our learners aren’t simply following directions to get the “right answer.” They are making predictions, testing ideas, observing outcomes, asking new questions, and trying again. Sometimes the experiment works exactly as expected. Sometimes it doesn’t. Both are valuable.

Learning happens in the process.
Instead of failure, learners are given an opportunity to wonder: Why? What can I change? What did I learn?

Experimentation builds more than scientific knowledge. It develops perseverance, curiosity, critical thinking, and the confidence to take risks without fearing mistakes.

Good Morning, BE!
And remember, learning is less about getting the answer and more about learning how to think.💙💚

Good Morning, BE! 💙💚

Sometimes the most amazing discoveries happen when we slow down enough to notice them.

In this photo, while many people might walk right past it, one curious learner got down on the floor, and took a closer look. A tiny creature became a moment of wonder.

Learning isn’t always found on big adventures. Sometimes it’s found in the smallest details…a bug on the floor, a cloud in the sky, a question that pops into your mind.

Today, challenge yourself to slow down. Look a little closer. Ask one more question. Notice something others might miss.

The world is full of wonder for those who take the time to see it.

Have a beautiful day, BE, and remember: curiosity often begins with simply paying attention.
