It’s hard to believe it’s been 3 years sine we opened Silver Fox stables! To say it’s been a journey would be an understatement. There have definitely been some challenging times, a lot of hard work, but looking back at everything we’ve accomplished makes it all worth it.

Over the past three years, we’ve made SO many amazing updates to the barn and property, built wonderful relationships with our clients and their horses, and watched Silver Fox grow into something we are truly proud of.

We are so grateful for everyone who has been a part of our journey and helped make Silver Fox what it is today. We couldn’t have done it without our amazing clients, friends, family, trainers, and everyone who continues to support us. ❤️

Meet our team members!

Haley Upton- Beginner Riding Instructor

Haley graduated from Stephen’s College in 2015 with a B. S. in Equine Science before going on to groom for different upper level hunter/jumper barns on the east coast circuit. She then used her education and passion for horse welfare to become a professional and take on the barn manager role when she moved back to Missouri. It was here where Haley made the switch from hunter/jumper to dressage and now spends her riding time with her two horses; ottb gelding Oz and PRE gelding Romeo.
Haley’s focus on safety and structure makes her ideal for our beginner riding instructor. We all know a good rider starts with a strong foundation and that is exactly what Haley provides! In fact, she booked up FAST shortly after starting at SFS.

A warm welcome to Haley Upton- we look forward to many more good months at the farm with you!

Meet the members of our team!

First up: working student -> Megan Lockey

In the barn know as “little Megan,” she got her start in the hunt seat world but always had her sights set on jumping and that is when her and Megan Harp crossed paths. Now, a handful of years later, Megan is competing regularly in the .75m-.80m jumpers with her lease horse Asia. In the day to day operations, Megan is instrumental in grain management, barn organization, and helping Megan Harp bring along young/prospective horses. Megan is hard working and sets a prime example for our younger up and coming riders on what true sportsmanship and horsemanship should look like.

-Buckeye and Triple Crown grain options with custom supplement regimen
- large field turnouts and private dry lots for any and all needs
-Climate controlled private tack room and lounge area with laundry services included
-70x180 indoor and 110x220 outdoor. both maintained daily
-regular opportunities to compete at local and rated venues

The ring is set with our lovely hunter fences and ready to school starting tomorrow morning!

We were lucky to not get much rain, so the footing is PERFECT right now. Our base drains very well so we can ride rain and shine!😉
