Greetings Parents,
We look forward to welcoming your student back to school next week!
Here are a few important reminders for all parents:
📌 Registration
If you have not completed the registration process, it must be completed as soon as possible to ensure your child has an uninterrupted start to the school year.
🏫 Open House – Wednesday, August 13
6th-grade students and students new to Fieldcrest are invited to attend Open House on Wednesday, August 13.
Main Gym Door (East side, by the flagpole) will open at 5:45 PM.
A short presentation will begin in the gym at 6:00 PM.
After the presentation, students may walk through the building and access their locker.
Open House will conclude at 6:30 PM.
📅 First Day of School – Thursday, August 14
The first day of student attendance is Thursday, August 14.
Building doors open at 7:30 AM daily.
Students must enter through Door 18 (small gym entrance).
Only students are permitted to enter Door 18.
Parents must use Door 1 (main entrance on the south side of the building) during school hours.
🗂️ Class Schedules
Tentative class schedules are currently visible; however, students will not receive their official schedules until the first day of school. Schedules may still change as registration is finalized.

📈 Attendance
Student attendance is critical for academic success. Please note:
Any student who is absent more than 10% of school days in a year—for any reason—is considered chronically absent.
Students who exceed 10 days of absence may receive an initial referral to a truancy officer.
To avoid this, please call the school each day your student is absent and provide medical documentation when appropriate.
Each student’s absences are individually reviewed by the building principal prior to any truancy referral. Your communication plays a vital role in this process.
Note: Attendance letters are automatically generated and sent once a student exceeds 3 absences. These are intended to keep you informed of your child’s attendance status.
📵 Cell Phone Policy
Cell phones must be turned off and stored away during instructional time.
Students may store their phone in their computer bag or locker.
Violations of this policy will result in a warning and an opportunity to comply.
Students who refuse will be subject to the next step in the school’s progressive discipline process.
