Wendell High School Juniors/Seniors interested in Diesel Tech program? Message me!

Want to start learning diesel technology while you’re still in high school?

There are still a few spots open in CSI’s Dual Credit Diesel program for this school year. The two-year program is open to incoming juniors from across the Magic Valley who are able to travel to CSI for classes. Students get hands-on experience while earning college credit before they graduate high school.

Fall sports start the following dates and times:

HS Girls Soccer Tryouts - Aug 10/11 at 6:30
HS Boys Soccer Tryouts - Aug 10/11 at 6:30
HS Football Practice - Aug 10 6 am and 7 pm
HS Volleyball Tryouts - Aug 10/11 at 9 am and 1 pm
HS XC Practice - Aug 12 at 7 pm
MS Volleyball Tryouts - Aug 10/11 at 9 am
MS Football - Aug 24 after school

Physicals/Interim Questionnaire are required before first tryout/practice. Physicals for 7th, 9th, 11th grades, and new students to district or sports. Interim Questionnaire for 10th and 12th grades who already have physicals on file.

Wendell School District students and families:

In light of the tragic events that have impacted our surrounding community, I wanted to remind everyone that free, confidential counseling services are available to all Wendell School District staff, students, and their families through our partnership with BPA Health. Please see the attached flyer for information on how to access these services.

Additionally, crisis counselors are available today (Sunday, August 2) from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for anyone who witnessed or has been affected by Saturday's shooting. Counselors will be available at:

Great opportunity to get your physical taken care of at low cost and support the school as well!
Freshman, juniors, and anyone who has not had a physical while participating in Wendell Athletics will need one this year.

Attention athletes that are needing a physical, this is a great deal!!

Urgent Care of Idaho will be doing their $10.00 Sports Physical Special again this year! This will be their 11th year in a row of being able to give money back to the local schools.

The sports physical special this year will be August 3-8, 2026 (Monday through Saturday), from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m..

On these dates, the cost for a Sports Physical is only $10.00, and they will donate all $10.00 back to your school's athletic department. This has been a huge success each year. This special will be at all four of the clinics (Burley, Jerome, and our two clinics in Twin Falls on Addison Avenue and Blue Lakes Avenue). No appointments are necessary. Students can walk in anytime during our clinic hours to receive this special.

We will be VOLUNTEERING AT THE GOODING COUNTY FAIR AND RODEO again this year.

All members are expected to help out with shifts if they can. This is an AMAZING opportunity to give back to our community and we receive a donation for volunteering that will be used for us to attend a LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE IN DC OR FLORIDA this year!! As well as covering costs of graduation regalia and the induction ceremony in the spring.

Please sign up for as many shifts as you can.

If you are in Honor Society you can count your time for your hours also. If you aren’t a member of either of these groups and still want to help out, just let me know 🙂 Wendell Middle School 7th and 8th graders can volunteer as part of GEAR UP as well!
