See below for details about the new payment system used for school meals.
Check out the meal served today at Corinth Holders High School - JCPS by our amazing JCPS School Nutrition staff! The baked potato bar allows students to customize their lunch with 100% beef spaghetti style chili or pulled BBQ chicken. Additional toppings included shredded cheese, jalapeños, salsa, black beans, steamed broccoli, and sour cream.
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
Our district is also now operating under a new online payment system for school meals, which is called “Titan.” This system can be utilized to post payments on your students breakfast and lunch account. Please note that families who had a remaining balance on the system we utilized last school year had their balances transferred to our new system. If you haven’t yet established an account for your student, you can do so and find a helpful FAQ by visiting our website at www.johnston.k12.nc.us/meals. The FAQ contains step by step instructions on setting up your student’s account.
Additionally, this is a reminder that we have returned to paid meals for this school year. Families must complete a Free and Reduced Meal Application to receive the benefit of free meals. This year, the state will cover the cost of students who receive reduced meals, so that they will receive a meal at no cost. We encourage all families to complete this application, as completing the application helps your student’s school in a multitude of ways. You can find the application by visiting our website at www.johnston.k12.nc.us/meals.
You can also find breakfast and lunch menus for our school sites by visiting this website. Please be reminded that we continue to experience supply chain disruptions, which may impact the meal offerings that are provided at your student’s school from time to time. We hope you take advantage of these new opportunities and menu items - and we look forward to serving your student lunch or breakfast very soon.

Congrats Mrs. Disney! She went above and beyond as our administrative intern. She has a positive attitude and a true desire to help. She is well-deserving of Pirate of the Month and we are blessed to have her!
Congrats to Josiah, Ahmad, Melissa, and Gage for being our final Student Pirates of the Month!
Josiah represents all the character traits of what a true student-athlete is. His coach received an email from a complete stranger. They stated that they had recently met Josiah while golfing. He had a conversation with him and said he is one of the most mature, well mannered, and respectful young men that he had ever encountered. Way to represent!
Ahmad is a student you can always count on to do the right thing. He cares about his academics and strives for excellence.
Melissa is always highly respectful and engaged as well as hard working. She always displays high integrity in all of her interactions and assignments. She is a pleasure to teach!
Gage is a very hard worker, focused, helps others often, and is a leader in his classes. Despite some adversity, as well as helping take care of a sick relative, he is always willing to help others and share a smile.
Congratulations to the following students! They have been accepted to the NC School of Science and Math. Pictured are Junha Kim, Claire Madsen, Callie Stoke, and Brady Warren. Not pictured is Garrett Poland.
Don't forget to participate in Spirit Week brought to you by @chhs_sca this week!

A round of applause to these Pirates of the Month!
Kenneth is my TA during my Math 3 class. He has been a tremendous help to the students as they work through problems in class so more students are getting individual attention. He even helps during flextime. He has been invaluable.
Ashlyn is one of the kindest students I have worked with. She goes above and beyond to treat all her classmates equally and with respect. She also offers to help others when something is not understood.
Breanna exhibits leadership qualities in her extracurricular activities with starting the debate club to the classroom with taking the initiative to take college courses in the 10th grade! Breanna is focused and goal-oriented. She knows what she wants to do and has taken the necessary steps to research information and connect herself with the right people to help her reach her goal.
Jeremy is always very considerate to others. He takes initiative and places others' needs before himself. He ensures everyone is aware of the expectation and direction given. He is always prepared for the class and takes the time to go above and beyond the requirement.

Congrats to Mrs. Cyr for being the CHHS Staff Pirate of the Month!
Mrs. Cyr is not just an instructional assistant at Corinth Holders High School. She is a teacher and co-worker that genuinely cares about the students and staff at Corinth Holders High School. She helps create a positive atmosphere in the OCS and CTE classrooms that enhances her relationship with students and makes them feel important. She also works the cash register during SMART Lunches and picks up students' trash after they eat. She helps to teach PREP classes by supervising our students while out working in the school. In the afternoons, Mrs. Cyr is an EC bus monitor where she sings and plays games with the EC elementary students to keep them calm and happy on their way home from school. She goes the extra mile for our school, students and staff!
