Football Update from Coach Yon 💙🏈💛

The Trojans played the Knights of Logos this past Saturday night for our first game of the season. Wendell started with the ball but struggled to get the offense moving early on. Logos took the lead on their first drive. It was a rough first half for the Trojans, giving up 27 points.

The second half found some sparks for Wendell. In the third quarter, the offense moved the ball well, capping off a drive with a 32-yard touchdown pass to #16 Krew Prince. This would be the lone score of the evening for the Trojans. Meanwhile, the defense locked down, making multiple stops in the third quarter and completely shutting Logos out in the fourth. Logos had the ball with just over a minute left to play and, rather than taking a knee, called timeouts and pass plays. The Trojans defense stepped up huge and shut down their final drive.

Game stats include:

- #5 Ben Chisham: 8 completions for 78 passing yards and 1 touchdown, plus 58 rushing yards.
- #16 Krew Prince: 3 receptions for 63 yards and 1 touchdown.
- #4 Beckett Yon: Led the defense with 11 total tackles (3 solo).
