Interested in playing fall sports? Tryouts begin next soon! Volleyball, Football, Girls Soccer and Cheer will have tryouts starting on September 1st. In order to try out you must have a 26-27 WCPSS physical submitted to Dragonflymax.com or turned into the front office. What an incredible evening at our Back-to-School Bash last night!

Families enjoyed delicious food trucks, fun inflatables, and the opportunity to meet our amazing teachers before the first day of school. It was wonderful seeing students and families connecting, exploring campus, and learning more about all that makes Wendell Magnet Middle School such a special place.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the night a success. We can't wait to see our Wolves back in the building and ready for an amazing school year!

We are incredibly honored to announce that the Wendell Magnet Middle School Band has been recognized by the North Carolina Bandmasters Association as a 2025–2026 Program of Distinction!
This prestigious designation recognizes programs that demonstrate exceptional musical excellence, artistry, and leadership. While we’re grateful for the recognition, this award truly belongs to our students. Their dedication, resilience, teamwork, and commitment to excellence are what make our program special every single day.
Thank you to our families, administrators, and community for believing in music education and supporting our students throughout every rehearsal, performance, and competition. We are especially grateful to the North Carolina Bandmasters Association for this incredible honor.

It’s an ogre‑the‑top fairy‑tale adventure packed with laughs, catchy songs, and more layers than an onion. From Far Far Away to the swamp, our talented students will prove that happy endings don’t always look “perfect” and that’s what makes them magical
