Some of the most meaningful work happening in this community right now has nothing to do with real estate.

Triangle Equine Assisted Learning, LLC, based in Wendell, NC, uses structured ground-based work with horses to help people develop confidence, self-awareness, and connection — no riding or therapy. Just immediate, unfiltered feedback from an animal that doesn't know how to pretend.

Their Helping Hooves Community Program is now extending that access to young adults who need it but can’t afford it — funded through a partnership with Horses for Mental Health, a global nonprofit.

The campaign raised $9,700.

Thank you to every single donor and Corporate Sponsor! We are thrilled to have not only funded the young adult program in our Helping Hooves Community Program, but we exceeded our goal!!

It has been an honor to be a Program Partner with Horses for Mental Health and we love being part of a mutually beneficial mission for both horses and people, spreading awareness of the life-changing benefits horses provide humans, while campaigning to fund local programs that do just that.

Stay tuned for more details as we step into Phase 2 in this program to award the 6 scholarships for the program!

Christmas in June? It certainly is! Chewy’s shipments kept coming down the driveway to the farm as one by one, we unboxed each thoughtful donation.

As one of our Kentucky Derby Corporate Sponsors for our Helping Hooves Community Program’s campaign with Horses for Mental Health, during May’s Mental Health Awareness Month, generously sent in-kind donations to help care for the horses during this program! From grain, salt licks, supplements, and fly care to sweet treats the horses absolutely love, we are over the moon with how far this will go in helping our program for young adults!

Thanks to and their generous support our Equine Partners will continue to receive the great care and nutrition they need to show up as their best during these life-changing sessions.

Having an effective program starts with maintaining happy and healthy horses because if they’re not feeling their best, we cannot expect them to show up for our program participants in the ways they usually do, able to provide the incredible learning moments and healing during EAL sessions.

Claudia Cokis , myself, our entire Helping Hooves Community Committee, and of course, all of our Equine Partners graciously say, “Thank you !” Your generosity and commitment to helping our community is profound and appreciated!

Braxton won one of the Raffle Drawings from our afternoon at Sip and Shop Cafe and came out on a gorgeous afternoon for some fun! He and Lindsay had a great time during Date Night Experience with Horses, navigating different ways to approach obstacles with their Equine Partner, Eli.

Some of their take-away's were: listening, clear communication, teamwork, trust and confidence. And their favorite part: Eli and bonding with the horses 🐴💞

Today is the final day in the Horses for Mental Health Campaign during May's Mental Health Awareness Month. If you've seen our posts and have been on the fence about helping, now is the time. Bonus: Your donations are tax-deductible.

Show your support for our local young adults. You never know who is carrying an unseen burden, a heavy load, or living in torment. People we pass by everyday...at work, school, and often times at home. Su***de rates have sky-rocketed in our young adult population since 2017....by 61%.
