Wenatchee School District is made of six elementary schools, three middle schools, one comprehensive high school, one alternative high school, a K-10 alternative parent partnership school, and a technical skills center that serves our district and others. We are 700 exceptional educators, including full- and part-time certified and classified employees, who take pride in serving the more than 6,800 students who attend WSD schools. Together, our students, teachers, staff, and leadership represent the diversity and richness of Wenatchee, as well as the challenges facing our community. What We Do
We teach, support, and challenge students to excel through high-quality instruction and social-emotional learning. Our goal is to build a foundation of diversity, equity, and inclusion from which all students emerge future-ready. To do this, we have set our “Big 6” Student Outcomes, as well as priorities and action steps to help us get there. Action steps include hiring staff that reflects the diversity of our student body, building the skills and knowledge of our staff through continued professional development, and eliminating systemic barriers for every student. We are also partnering with local business owners to give students career-connected learning opportunities. Many of these initiatives are underway and creating positive change. We are committed to driving progress forward by continuing what’s working, changing what isn’t, and sharing our work with the Wenatchee community. Why It Matters
Students come to our schools with different lived experiences, starting points, and needs. Today, too many of them are not meeting grade-level standards or feeling prepared to seize the opportunities available to them upon graduation. We believe every student has limitless potential and deserves an education that will help them reach their academic and career goals—whatever they may be. That’s why we’re working hard to make WSD a place every student knows they belong and has what they need to succeed.
