Cherry Training Systems Publication
PNW 667, a new cherry training system manual is now available on line. The authors are Drs. Lynn Long, Greg Lang, Stefano Musacchi and Matt Whiting. This publication was two years in the making and includes descriptions and illustrations on seven training systems including KGB, UFO, UFO-Y trellis, Steep Leader, Vogel Central Leader, Tall Spindle Axe and Super Slender Axe.
It is free (downloadable) and applicable to all – worldwide. Authors are from Mich, WA and Oregon. A great new resource for our members.

Exporting apples to China is now a possibility again for Washington producers - sort of. China is now requiring that the 'Manchurian' crabapple pollenizers in apple orchards be pruned to qualify an orchard to be eligible for export to China. NHC and NFE are offering 2 pruning demonstrations for the industry. The first is in George/Quincy on March 20 at 2pm; the other is in Pateros on March 21 at 10am.
