Our first week of camp is almost over. The kids have been having a great time and learning a lot!

We cannot wait to welcome everyone tomorrow for the first day of band camp! Here’s a few important reminders:
-go to bed early and get some good rest
-bring your water bottle, deodorant, hat, sunscreen, lip bomb, etc.
-everyone is required to bring a box of snacks (absolutely NO PEANUTS-we have someone who is highly allergic) and a case of water
- you are expected to be respectful not only to your band director/adults around you, but also your peers!
-come comfortable, with tennis shoes-REMEMBER if you can’t wear it to school, you cannot wear it for band camp

We will also start fitting for uniforms tomorrow!

Attention incoming 8th graders and anyone else who hasn’t/doesn’t have our page on the BAND app; here’s an invite link! Tanna and myself try to post frequently about things you/your kid need to know and we post here when we are on trips so you know where we are. We try to share pictures and videos as well. Please note, if I don’t recognize you, I may ask for you to verify your child’s name because we have been getting a lot of spam requests.

We are starting a BBQ burger meal fundraiser! Meal comes with a BBQ burger, bag of chips and a drink for $10. Pick up will be Friday, August 7, at the WHS stadium concession stand. Pick up times are 4pm-6pm and 6:30pm-7pm. Please get with a band kiddo to get your tickets!

This year’s McNeese Band Camp has come to an end! What a great performance from all the participants! Our very own Daidyn and Hailey got most improved in their specialties and Kallie received best over all for colleagues. Congrats to all of our kiddos on a great week!
