Band and choir are coming home with some hardware from Six Flags! Both groups received “excellent” ratings! 🎶🎶

The high school band traveled to Culver-Stockton College to perform at the Missouri Small School Band Directors Association Concert Festival. For the second time in three years, they received straight 1 "Exemplary" ratings from all three judges. Congratulations! 🎶 🎶 🎶

Band department students have been busy the past couple of weeks! Three 8th graders were selected to the Northest Missouri All-District Junior High Honor Band. Congratulations to Luke Nelson- 1st chair alto sax, Cayden Joles- 9th chair trumpet, and Jayden Chalfant- 10th chair flute.
Also, we had six students selected for the EMO All-Conference Band, and put on a wonderful performance on Monday. Congratulations to Caiden Orick- 4th chair tuba, Shane Joles- 7th chair trombone, Isaac Todd- 2nd chair alto sax, Kara Freie- 2nd chair baritone, and Aubrey Harmon- 3rd chair flute. Not pictured is Royce Wilkinson- 8th chair clarinet.

It’s October, so that means cinnamon roll season is upon us! Rolls are on sale now for $13.00 a dozen and will be available for pick up during chili supper after the Halloween parade on Saturday, October 25th. Call the office or find a music student to order!

Honors Choir will be out and about this weekend!

WMR1 Honors Choir has scheduled performances this weekend. You can hear them during services at Trinity Lutheran Church at 6 PM on Saturday or Hopewell Baptist Church at 10 AM on Sunday, or during Oktoberfest at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 1 PM on Sunday. This is a wonderfully talented group of young ladies! You won’t want to miss hearing them.

Spring has sprung, which means the music department's spring concerts are coming up!

Tuesday, April 22- High school band and choir/senior recognition
Wednesday, April 23- Junior high band and choir

Both concerts are at 6pm in the high school gym. We hope to see you there!
