A big thank you to our Junior High students for leading us in Chapel this morning! They shared a wonderful message about how Jesus is our strength and the "glue" in our lives. To demonstrate, students tried building structures using only toothpicks, which quickly collapsed. But once they added marshmallows, everything held together! Just like those marshmallows, we need Jesus at the center of our lives to build strong relationships, live faithfully, and weather life's challenges.

Thank you to Dale Akkerman for sharing with us during Chapel on Friday! Dale shared a message from Luke 6:27 about the importance of praying for and showing love to those who hurt us. Through a memorable demonstration involving a wet napkin and fire, he illustrated how loving our enemies can seem impossible. However, with Jesus’ help, we can do what seems impossible—show love and kindness to those who hurt us and perhaps even turn enemies into friends!

This year, Timothy Christian is celebrating 80 Years of God’s faithfulness with the theme “Rooted in Faith, Branching Out in Joy,” inspired by Colossians 2:6-7. Like a tree with deep roots, we grow stronger when we’re grounded in Christ and share His joy as we learn and serve together. We’re so thankful to God for His faithfulness!

Our all-school picture captures that spirit, with students and staff wearing hard hats to celebrate our “Rooted in Faith” Capital Campaign and the construction of our new space. This project is a community effort, built on a strong foundation of faith and made possible by the care and generosity of our families, supporters, and community. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make it happen. As our school grows into this new space, may we keep putting down roots in Christ and branching out in joy!

This morning’s chapel with Pastor Dawson Ackerman (Reformed Church of Stout) was such a gift. After talking with students about the “uniform” our construction crew wears (hard hat, vest, muddy boots), he reminded us of our own — the full armor of God. He ended with a memorable object lesson: two oranges and a bowl of water. The orange with its peel (its “armor”) floated, while the peeled orange sank. With God’s armor, we can stay afloat with joy even when life gets tough. Without it, we’re far more likely to sink under the weight of life’s storms. Thank you, Pastor Ackerman, for encouraging our school family today.
