Discover a beautiful new storywalk on the Saw-Whet Trail: Mama’s Song by Julie Buchholtz. Together, seven Southern Maine conservation organizations are highlighting children's books by contemporary Indigenous authors on the trails. Through this project and future collaborations, we continue to learn about and honor the intersection of land conservation, outdoor exploration, and Indigenous communities. We invite you to explore all the stories at our neighboring land trusts. Some lucky sixth graders joined us for a field trip today, exploring the estuary and the many habitats that make up the Reserve. You don't have to be in school to learn here! Join us for one of next week's programs to enjoy some outdoor learning of your own.

🍂 Wednesday's Kayaking on the Little River Estuary is the last kayak tour of the season and Friday's Autumn Tree Walk will be a perfect chance to take in the fall color. Visit wellsreserve.org/calendar to sign up.

Time to stock up on bird seed for the winter! Our annual bird seed sale with York County Audubon is on. Order quality seed and suet and support environmental education. Proceeds support education programs at both organizations. The birds thank you!
