Providing customized education to Palm Beach County as well as to the seasonal equestrian community.

We provide a high caliber of individualized and customized education to the elementary population of Palm Beach County. Additionally, we offer seasonal programs for participants of the Winter Equestrian Festival that will replicate their school’s curriculum. Our goal is for these students to smoothly transition back to their classes at a level current with their peers.

Science you can see happening right before your eyes! 🔬🌿

Today, our students got to explore how plants transport water through their stems with a hands-on flower experiment. By placing the flowers in colored water, they can observe how the water travels upward through the plant’s vascular system—an easy way to make concepts like capillary action and plant transport come to life!

We love giving students opportunities to ask questions, make predictions, experiment, and see the results for themselves. Science is so much more exciting when you get to get your hands a little messy! 💚

🤸‍♀️ Learning doesn’t always have to happen at a desk!

At Open Minds Academy, our enrichment classes give students the opportunity to learn, move, create, and have fun in a supportive environment. From gymnastics and art to Spanish and other hands-on activities, enrichment is a great way for students to explore new interests while building confidence and friendships along the way.

🌎 Learning comes to life when students can build it!

Today, our students turned a geography lesson into a hands-on project by creating their own landform models. From shaping the landscape to adding the details, they got to explore how different landforms come together while using creativity, problem-solving, and a little bit of artistic flair. 🎨🏔️

At Open Minds Academy, we love giving students opportunities to learn by doing. Projects like this make concepts more tangible—and a whole lot more fun!

What if the school day didn’t have to look the same for every child?

One student might need to move around to stay focused.
Another might want to spend an entire afternoon going down a rabbit hole about something they’re interested in.
Someone else might need a little extra time — or a completely different explanation — before something clicks.

That’s one of the things we value most at Open Minds Academy: having the flexibility to meet students where they are instead of expecting every child to fit into the same mold.

Learning can be structured and flexible.
It can be challenging and enjoyable.
And there’s room for kids to be kids along the way.

Sometimes, a different approach makes all the difference. 🌱

A little reminder for parents heading into fall: 🍂

Your child doesn’t have to love every subject.

They don’t have to be naturally good at everything.

And they definitely don’t have to learn the same way, at the same pace, or in the same environment as the child sitting next to them.

Sometimes the biggest breakthrough comes from changing the approach — finding the right explanation, connecting a lesson to something they actually care about, or simply giving them a little more time.

Kids are still figuring out how they learn best. That’s a pretty important part of the education process, too. ❤️

Learning doesn’t always look like a worksheet. 🧠✨

Sometimes it looks like a game during snack. Sometimes it’s watching caterpillars change right before your eyes. And sometimes it’s a student asking a question that turns into an entirely unexpected lesson.

At Open Minds Academy, we love those moments when learning happens naturally — through curiosity, conversation, play, and hands-on experiences. When students are given the space to explore what interests them, even ordinary moments can become opportunities to learn something new. 💚

Our students decided to turn snack time into math game time! 🎲✨ What started as a fun break became an opportunity to practice numbers, strategy, problem-solving, and a little friendly competition—all while hanging out with friends.

We love seeing students take the lead in their own learning. Sometimes the best learning moments happen when you’re simply having fun! 💙

September is when the excitement of a new school year starts to wear off—and families begin to see what’s actually working.

Maybe your child is thriving. Maybe they’re struggling to keep up. Maybe mornings have become a daily battle. Or maybe you’re simply realizing that the traditional school environment isn’t the right fit for your child.

Recent changes in Palm Beach County’s school district have a lot of families thinking about education — and perhaps asking an important question:

Our “pet caterpillars” are entering the chrysalis stage! 🐛➡️🦋

Our students have been watching their caterpillars grow, change, and prepare for their next big transformation—and now the exciting part is happening! They’re entering the chrysalis stage. 🌿✨

What better way to learn about the life cycle of a butterfly than by watching it happen right before your eyes? Our students are getting a hands-on lesson in science, patience, observation, and the incredible process of metamorphosis!

We can’t wait to see what emerges! 🦋💚
